The Edgerton City Council recently approved a new grant
for homeowners who want to invest in their properties.
The Help Owners Make Exterior Improvements Grant
offers up to $2,500 to eligible residents. Properties must
be owner-occupied, owners must be current on their
property taxes and any special assessments, and only
projects that face a City street are eligible.
Projects that may be eligible for a grant could include:
• Front facade renovations
• Weatherization projects
• Handicap/accessibility projects
• Exterior paint/siding
• New doors/windows
• Tree removal
• Landscaping (hardscape, rain gardens, trees, shrubs,
etc)
• Concrete sidwalks, driveways, front stoop
• Roofs
A minimum $500 investment is required and the grant
would reimburse 50% of eligible projects costs up to a
maximum of $2,500. Homeowners who are approved may
only receive one grant every 10 years. Grant funds must be
used within the calendar year.
